Brian Barlow

Brian Barlow Brian Barlow is a really nice guy and comedian. He was born in Kitchener (Oktoberfest) but now calls Toronto (CN Tower, Eaton Centre) home. Brian first started doing comedy through improv classes at the Second City (John Candy) but soon left to perform in his own shows with fellow joker Chris Locke (Chris Locke).  Together they formed The Gurg, an experimental improv/sketch duo. In 2003 The Gurg were nominated for an award (Tim Sims Encouragement Award), and performed on televisions (Comedy Network, Toronto 1) and radios (CBC Radio 1 and another one but I forget).

In December 2004, Brian started the monthly comedy show, The Loner Show. Each show comedians perform non-standup type stuff as Brian hosts as a brand new character (over 50 so far).

Brian’s most popular characters are The Dick Mime and Poppa Proppa. He also performs in the sketch/improv groups The Garbagmen, and Dinkus.
