
The Flirts are Alana Johnston and Kurt Smeaton. They are Toronto’s longest running sketch troupe and regular performers at Laugh Sabbath and just love it!
Alana Johnston is an improviser and comedian who fires it up around Toronto. She studied improv and performed for two years in Chicago, working with IO Chicago, Annoyance Theatre and Second City. She was nominated for the Tim Sims Encouragement Award and appeared in the 2008 Cream of Comedy Showcase on The Comedy Network. She is one of the original cast members of Ghost Jail Theatre and can be seen on YTV’s upcoming sketch show That’s So Weird.
Kurt Smeaton produces the weekly improv comedy show Catch23. He recently toured Europe with the improv show Scratch. He is also a member of Falcon Powder who recently won the Globehead improv tournament at BadDog. He writes for CBC Radio’s The Irrelevant Show and can be seen in the Comedy Network sketch show Hot Box.
